So, Whats Next?
We are broken and battered but not quite dead yet...
In order to get things working what we need are actual points of presents in every country Netflix are in.
I have started with 4 countries but what I really need is some help from the community.
So here it is...
If you want your country to be represented on uNoGS all we ask is that your support us with a VM in your country.
Here is how it works:
What you need to do
- you need a server running ssh in the country of your choice
- set up an account called 'unogs' on the server
- Allow ssh tunneling on this account
- email email@example.com for a public key
What you will get
Anyone providing a server will get 'PRO' access to our mashape API
If this is something you would be interested in, please email me firstname.lastname@example.org
@admin Many thanks to all the folks who have chipped in so far! We are now up to 8 countries with more to come...
Hi @admin i can help you with a vm in Mexico.
I only can mount it the next week.
Please confirm if you are interested to begin the process to mount it.
Hi, you should check this service: http://luminati.io/technology
It allows you to make requests that appear to originate from any country in the world. It is a paid service though.
$500 a month is a lot steep... was actually kind of interested until i saw the price
Hello there... we no longer need a VM, just an ssh account on an existing server in the region.
I've created VM in my device.
I would appreciate if you could advise me to an informative and clear guide to create ssh Tunneling on my VM.
Besides, should the VM running on Ubuntu?
Thanks & Regards,
Thanks for replying.
I would require the steps to create ssh account please.
Thanks & Regards,
Please email email@example.com and we will forward you the details.
Don't have a server but I sure do hope we get to see Greece again on the country table in the near future.

what sort of specs does the server need to be to participate? and how much expected bandwidth is required?

Hello, I currently use the SmartDNS solution by unblock-us.com and it works for the region they provide. Wouldn't it be possible for you guys to just use that service with just one server and just swift region once you scraped the content from the API? Changing region is actually really easy and can be easily automated with a cURL script even.
@caciotto If I was running this solution from a home machine I would agree with you but since our servers are in the cloud its slightly more involved. We are looking at a few options along those lines, so thanks for the suggestion.
please add turkey
